New Brain, A

THIS TITLE IS LICENSED BY CONCORD THEATRICALS.

Created by the Tony Award-winning authors of Falsettos, this dynamic, sardonic, and frequently humorous musical centers on a composer experiencing a medical crisis. Gordon faints during lunch and regains consciousness in a hospital, attended by his maritime-enthusiast partner, his mother, a colleague, the physician, and nursing staff.

Reluctantly, he was writing a song for a children’s television program featuring a frog named Mr. Bungee, and the image of this large green character, along with the incomplete piece, lingered during his medical treatment. Initially diagnosed as a tumor, the condition proved more operable, allowing Gordon to recover and resume composing the music he aims to create.
