This youth adaptation of the off-Broadway musical, set in the atomic 1950s at Enrico Fermi High, follows the love story between senior Toffee and the rebellious bad boy of the class. Though their romance is cut short by family pressure, the bad boy returns with determination to win back Toffee's heart, after a visit to the nuclear waste dump results in an unexpected glow. As history intervenes, a catchy soundtrack of original 50s-style songs keeps the action lively on stage.
